About Me

My yoga journey began like many people's - in an occasional class at my gym. It was a relaxing exercise class but not much more. However, after spending a week at a wonderful yoga retreat in 2019 - which I'd booked mainly to relax & unwind after a very stressful 18 months - I knew deeply that yoga would play a much bigger part in my life moving forward.

As a child & teen I danced regularly - I loved how it felt to move my body - but as 'adulting' takes over it's easy to forget what actually makes us feel good and what makes our heart smile. Yoga has slowly but surely brought me back home to my body and in doing so I can find peace there when I need to. I can let go of the busy-ness in my mind somewhat and tap back into my own deeper truth.

We are a part of nature and in connecting with the nature of ourselves we can connect more deeply with the truth of everything & everyone beyond us. In line with this I often take inspiration from the energies of the seasons to inspire both my classes and my own yoga practice.

I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with the wonderful Laura Green Yoga in 2022. Laura is a constant source of inspiration to me and a font of so much knowledge

I know first hand the power of yoga and I am passionate about helping others experience it. If you have a body, any body, you can do yoga! - the notion that you have to be flexible is a myth created by the West's obsession with aesthetics! I aim to teach with kindness & patience - with a desire to help you find those things for yourself also.

When I'm not teaching yoga or working my day job (I'm an administrator for a climbing gym) I love reading, hiking, cooking, writing and exploring new places.

I currently live in Purbrook, Waterlooville and my day job is in Southampton - so I teach yoga between those places - hence why my class locations are quite widespread!
